Place the eggs in a saucepan, cover with cold water by 2 cm, and bring to a boil over high heat. Once boiling, reduce heat to medium and cook for 9 minutes. Drain, then transfer eggs to a bowl of ice water for 5 minutes. Peel and set aside.
